Colonel Thomas “Keith/TK” Wilson

 

Col_WilsonColonel Thomas K. (“Keith/TK”) Wilson is the Commander of the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) Detachment 009, Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut. Colonel Wilson is responsible for the education and training of ROTC cadets from Yale University and seven associated crosstown universities and colleges during their four-year officer education and training programs. Col Wilson also serves as a member of the Yale faculty as the Professor (Adjunct) of Aerospace Studies.

Prior to this he served as the Deputy Commander of the 17th Training Wing, Goodfellow Air Force Base, Texas, where he oversaw two training groups, a mission support group and a medical group collectively responsible for training more than 14,000 members annually in fire protection, special instruments, and intelligence missions for the Department of War across four geographically separated units.

Col Wilson commissioned through Air Force ROTC at the University of Michigan in May 2001. He has served in a variety of signals intelligence, cyber, space, and planning positions at the squadron, group, Joint Task Force, and Combatant Command levels and has deployed to conduct operations in Afghanistan. His assignments include command of the 29th Intelligence Squadron, responsible for National Security Agency operations; Intelligence Directorate leadership within the Joint Task Force- Space Defense, United States Space Command; and Plans Branch Chief for United States Cyber Command, where he was responsible for long-term cyber planning in the Central, African and Northern Command areas of operation. Col Wilson also served as Head of the Political Science Department and Assistant Professor of Political Science at the United States Air Force Academy, Colorado, where he led 37 faculty and taught courses on American Government, National Security, Causes of War, and Regime Studies
