Westover Base Visit

Westover Air Reserve Base is primarily a base for the C-5 Galaxy, the largest airplane in the Air Force’s inventory. On a typical visit, cadets are given a full tour of a C-5, where they walk through the 143 ft long cargo bay, climb up the ladder to the flight deck, and sit in the cockpit. In addition, cadets are given a tour of the EOD unit and learn about the tools and technologies that EOD technicians use to accomplish their mission. A base visit to Westover will take up most of the day, and cadets are responsible for their transportation to the base.
